#8256 Introduction to and Implementation of the Creative Curriculum Preschool 4th Edition
In this workshop, participants will gain an awareness of the philosophy upon which Creative Curriculum was developed and learn how to use the selected Creative Curriculum guide as a valuable resource. The following five components of the Creative Curriculum will be explored: How Children Develop and Learn, The Teacher's Role, The Family's Role, The Learning Environment, and What Children Learn. Participants will also be involved in preliminary planning for implementation and integration of the curriculum into their daily instruction. Please bring the Creative Curriculum for Preschool 4th Edition if you have a copy. You must attend both dates. Registration is from 8:30 - 9 AM

#8258 Transitioning to Kindergarten
As young children transition from preschool to kindergarten, it is essential for all individuals who are involved in this process to share information and goals as they prepare for the big day! This workshop will focus on the rationale for the transition process and transition ideas for individual and groups of children, as well as, strategies for community and school district programs. Participants will be provided with opportunities to discuss how data can be used to assist in transitioning children. Also, information will be shared regarding the implementation of accommodations and modifications that can be used to support children with disabilities or those who are at-risk of academic failure. Registration and dinner will be from 5:30 - 6:00 PM.
