Come join area curriculum people for four 2010-2011 networking meetings. Each meeting will inculde a presentation/discussion on a relevant topic, time for participatn sharing, and ROE consultant updates. The 2010-2011 meetings will focus on the book Visible Learning by John Hattie which all participants will receive. The cost of the workshop series will include materials used to enhance the presentations. Administrator Academy Credit is also available for $120 and you must attend 2 meetings.

#9237 Required to Submit a SIP in IIRC this Year? Writing Your School Improvement Plan - 2010 Template
The Illinois State Board of Education requires Illinois schools in status to meet federal guidelines in their Improvement Planning by using the IIRC 2010 Template (found at the Interactive Illinois Report Card website). This workshop will assist school teams in utilizing the template to develop improvement plans that are data-driven, timely, and effective. The morning will focus on the content and format necessary in each section of the template to write a complete and approvable plan. The afternoon session will provide teams with an opportunity to work on their plans using the template. SIP teams, including an administrator, will want to attend as a group. Lunch is provided. This workshop is offered at no cost to participants. In addition, substitute reimbursement may also be available for qualifying Title I schools.

#9238 Missed AYP for the First Time? Preparing for Writing Your School Improvement Plan 2010 Template
The Illinois State Board of Education encourages Illinois schools who miss AYP to prepare for meeting requirements in their School Improvement Planning by becoming familiar with the IIRC 2010 Template (found at the Interactive Illinois Report Card website). This workshop will assist school teams in understanding how the template can guide SIP teams to develop improvement plans that are data-driven, timely, and effective. The morning will focus on an overview of the template and an introduction to parent involvement resources and data analysis tools. The afternoon session will provide teams with an opportunity to work together to analyze data, identify strengths, and plan ways to meet the challenges of the 2010-11 school year. SIP teams, including an administrator, will want to attend as a group. Lunch is provided. This workshop is offered at no cost to participants. In addition, substitute reimbursement may also be available for qualifying Title I schools.
