Visiting John Deere Commons

The Intermediate Academy Lights On For Learning students visited John
DeereCommons.  The day before the field trip, students discussed the history
ofJohn Deere. Over 40 students enjoyed seeing the exhibits.

QUAD CITY MALLARDS PLAYERS MADE “THEIR MARK” AT A LOCAL “LIGHTS ON” SCHOOL THIS MONTH.        Four of the Quad City Mallards team members visited “Lights ON” students at the Intermediate Academy in Rock Island.  The players signed autographs, read to the children and emphasized the importance of staying in school.        The school’s site coordinator, Judy Hipskind, said 40 ”Lights ON” for learning students participated in “Making Your Mark” program.  Hipskind says this is the second year the Mallards have visited the school.  The next day a group of “Lights ON” for learning students, parents/guardians attended a Mallards’ game at the Mark.
