#11770 Yoga and Mindfulness for Educators

A calm and focused class starts with the teacher.  Teachers will learn simple and effective strategies for calming, focusing, and movement throughout the school day with an emphasis on self-care.
As teachers and students feel more calm and focused and take more time to relax, learning standards will improve as a direct result of social and emotional needs being met.

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children develop awareness and management of their emotions, set and achieve important personal and academic goals, use social-awareness and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive relationships, and demonstrate decision making and responsible behaviors to achieve school and life success. There is a strong research base indicating that these SEL competencies improve students’ social/emotional development, readiness to learn, classroom behavior, and academic performance.  This training focuses on the foundational skills of self-awareness and self-management to achieve school and life success.
