#11777 Restorative Practices for Schools: 3 Sessions

These principles and practices provide a framework to better implement the regulations under SB100 and to reach out into communities to help support these efforts.

Phase One: Brief review of key elements of the SB100 legislation that impacts school personnel and the community. A presentation and case study of the application of restorative justice practices, and next steps.

Phase Two: Simulations of school based “Circle Discussions.” The group will conduct development of a draft mission/or vision for restorative justice practices.

Phase Three: Begin exploration of community development processes and hear from local experts in the restorative practice process, both the school and community. Activities will be provided in modifying Board Policies and Operational Processes.
