#11698 Exploring Evidence-Based Practices for Advanced Learners and Refining District Practices and Procedures for Advanced Learners

With the recent Accelerated Placement Act and Report Card Act legislation, districts must now have policy and procedures in place to support the gifted and potentially gifted student.  Our speaker, Jeanine Buishas, is returning to assist classroom teachers, teachers of the gifted, and administrators as they explore evidence-based practices specifically for advanced learners.  These strategies will provide classrooms with a Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) to meet the needs of all learners.

The afternoon provides a supportive time for sharing and questions with a knowledgeable facilitator regarding your districts work and future needs.

Morning: Exploring Evidence-Based Practices for Advanced Learners
Teachers often have a plethora of differentiation strategies in their instructional toolbox. This interactive workshop will focus on those that are most effective for supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of gifted learners. Research and resources will be provided to enhance curriculum and instruction in varied classroom settings.

Afternoon: Refining District Practices and Procedures for Advanced Learners
Provides a supportive time for sharing and questions with a knowledgeable facilitator regarding your districts work and future needs. Facilitated networking session – District teams are invited to collaborate with other educators to share procedures and programming aligned to meeting the needs of advanced learners.
