Lights ON Happenings

The WJHS Drama Team received state-wide attention for their “Stomp Out Bullying” skit and performed it for at the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Conference in Tinley Park.  For more photos from this event click here

The Drama team is working very hard and reaching out to their peers and throughout the community to bring the arts and anti bullying messages alive through their performances.

2011-12 Program Objectives
Total number of students served will exceed 190.

  • Total number of Regular Attendees (attending 30 days or more) will exceed 80 representing a 25% increase of 2010-11 regular attendees
  • 30 family members (unduplicated) will attend Lights ON family programs
  • 50% of studnets attending Lights ON regularly will increase reading skills based on grades
  • 60% of students attending Lights ON regularly will increase math skills based on grades
  • 60% of students with behavior concerns attending Lights ON regularly will demonstrate behavior improvements as measured by SWIS
