The William Butterworth Foundation is excited to partner with local high school educators to create lesson plans about local history. Both Iowa and Illinois require teachers to include local history at all classroom levels.
To help meet that requirement, the historic Deere family homes will serve as resources for local teachers. This session will feature ideas on how to use primary resources and develop lesson plans during the workshop. These lesson plans will be made accessible to the community on our website and/or other education websites.
Space is limited to 10 teachers per session.
